How the Olive Grove Retreat was Created

We are a group of friends who met, one day, in Athens. We were united by our common concerns: the demanding pace of the capital, the little free time we spent with our families, the increasing stress and the realization that the city we lived in was becoming unsustainable, that the joy of life was diminishing every year.

We decided to leave the lives we were leading behind and start anew. We found an old olive grove in Kardamyli and, slowly, with a lot of effort and hard work, we created something we are proud of.

Our allies in this endeavor and in the daily operation of the Olive Grove Retreat are the villagers, the local community. They accepted and supported us from the very first moment. They understood that the foundation of our business project lies in the local tradition and that one of our main goals is to preserve and continue it.

We collaborate daily with local producers from whom we purchase olive oil, vegetables, fruits, and everything else this beautiful place yields, in order to offer it to you. The ladies of Kardamyli opened their homes and shared with us the secrets of local gastronomy, and slowly became an integral part of our restaurant's operation.

We cannot speak about Olive Grove Retreat without speaking about its people. They are no longer simply our staff. Τhey are the people who walk alongside us, friends and companions, who, through their care, support, and daily presence, inspire us to grow and become better every single day.
