Kardamyli's old town

The old town of Kardamili: A small castle town with abandoned fortified tower houses, built in various phases from the late 17th to the 19th century. The restored Mourtzinou Tower functions as a museum space and hosts periodic exhibitions. Next to the Tower, is the church of Agios Spyridon, a beautiful church from the 18th century, with remarkable frescoes.

Patrick Lee Fermor House: The home of the famous British travel writer, whose name was inextricably linked to Greece and the region. Known as the “Mr. Michalis of the locals”, he chose Kardamili as his place of residence in a house he designed with his wife.
