The benefits of Hatha Yoga

The name Hatha refers to the third and fourth strands of the eight-member Radja Yoga, a philosophy of exercises aimed at strengthening the body (asanas) and developing the breathing technique (pranayama). By combining Ha and Tha the right and left hemispheres of the brain is balanced. Today it is also recognized in the west that the right hemisphere corresponds to the left side of the body (emotion, creativity) and the left to the right (logic).
